Travelling | Elsa Triolet, 1896 -1970

Elsa Triolet

"All the other cities of the world are simply branches of Paris."

"There's no place where one can breathe as freely as on the deck of a ship."

"I love the melody of an unknown language, the strange food, all the surprises
of a strange town, and my own impatience and curiosity. I love traveling as
others love the gaming table; I anticipate a new place as others anticipate the
next number to come up."

"The patient can not be cured with common sense only."

"You can kill time or kill yourself, it comes to the same thing in the end."

"Tell me what you dream, and I'll tell you who you are."

 Elsa Triolet, 1896 -1970

Russian-French writer. Elsa Triolet was the first to translate V. Mayakovsky's
poetry (as well as volumes of other Russian-language poetry) to French.
